CFXHosting partners with Internet Security Alliance to provide industry leading secured hosting

(Louisville, KY), May 10, 2002 - Express Technologies, Inc., (dba CFXHosting) a industry leader in simple and complex web hosting solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, announced today a new partnership with the Internet Security Alliance (ISAlliance) to provide comprehensive computer security services to its 30,000 clients.

"This partnership will allow us to provide our clients with the most secured hosting environment available today," said Monique McGraw, Director of Engineering. "Additionally, we will be able to provide our clients with up-to-the-minute information regarding security in the forms of e-mail alerts, corrective actions and patches to aid in the fight against unwanted visitors and viruses. As our industry continues to grow we expect to see the number of viruses, Denial of Service attacks and hack attempts to rise dramatically. We want to be proactive and equip our company and our clients with the latest possible information to fight against these attacks."

The ISAlliance is a collaborative effort between the Electronic Industries Alliance and the CERT® Coordination Center (CERT/CC) of Carnegie Mellon University. It provides vulnerability and threat information to its members, culled directly from the knowledge base of the CERT/CC. The ISAlliance also hosts member-driven working groups that focus on best practice development, security tools evaluation and development, and tracking of the latest legislative and policy trends.

"By joining the Internet Security Alliance, Express Technologies becomes part of an ever-expanding group of corporations that understand the need for industry to take a proactive approach to information security," said Dave McCurdy, Executive Director of the Internet Security Alliance. "The ISAlliance is a non-profit industry group that is sharing best practices and keeping its members completely up-to-date on the latest threats, vulnerabilities and incidents that can effect the security of anyone's networks and systems."

The CERT/CC, which has been called the "fire department of the Internet," is the nation's leading research and development outfit focused on computer security vulnerabilities and threats. Each year, thousands of companies and organizations report security-related incidents to CERT/CC. ISAlliance members have direct access to this information, along with the security advisories and countermeasures recommended by CERT/CC.
